Technical Product Manager - AI

Join Joyous in our mission to revolutionize mental health care. As pioneers, we leverage very low dose (VLD) ketamine, AI-powered treatments, and advanced technologies to make mental health care effective, accessible, and affordable. With a team of nearly 120 professionals, we've transformed over 60,000 lives, leading a mental wellness revolution for a future where everyone can thrive. Working with us offers more than a job; it's a chance to be part of a life-saving mission that promotes health and compassion worldwide. You'll push mental health care boundaries with AI innovations, contributing to meaningful change and experiencing significant professional growth. At Joyous, we're creating lasting impacts, one life at a time.

The Role:

At Joyous, AI is at the core of everything we build. Our AI-driven personalization engine dynamically tailors treatment plans by analyzing patient responses and engagement patterns, ensuring each individual receives the most effective care. Our autonomous AI agents guide patients through their treatment journey, providing intelligent, responsive support while continuously learning and adapting. Additionally, our dose optimization models accelerate the discovery of the right therapeutic dosage by analyzing real-world data, helping patients achieve better outcomes faster.

To bring this vision to life, we take a hands-on approach to product development—one that’s fast, flexible, and execution-focused. Unlike traditional product teams that rely on long engineering cycles, our product team directly builds the product using low-code and no-code platforms. Engineering provides the necessary webhooks and backend infrastructure, while the product team rapidly designs, deploys, and iterates on new features. This enables us to move quickly, streamline processes, and launch impactful solutions in weeks instead of months.

We are seeking an AI Product Manager to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in shaping our AI-powered product ecosystem. In this role, you will blend deep technical expertise with strategic thinking to drive product vision and execution. You will work closely with engineering, data, and design teams to develop AI-driven solutions that transform mental health care. If you are passionate about building AI-first products, leveraging automation, and working in a fast-moving, hands-on environment, this is the perfect opportunity to make a direct impact on patient outcomes.

Location:

This role will be Hybrid at our HQ in Foster City, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in shaping and executing our product roadmap, working with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative AI-powered solutions that drive growth and engagement.
  • Build and enhance AI agents that guide patients through their treatment journey, leveraging automation to improve engagement, support, and personalization.
  • Develop automated workflows that streamline patient interactions, optimize clinician workflows, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Design, implement, and refine new features from scratch using our low-code/no-code platform, accelerating the speed of experimentation and deployment.
  • Leverage your software engineering experience to contribute to the hands-on development and optimization of our AI-driven product suite, ensuring alignment with growth and patient-centric goals.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement AI-powered product features, focusing on enhancing the user experience and driving retention.
  • Use data-driven insights and technical expertise to identify product improvements that optimize growth, acquisition, and engagement.
  • Lead A/B testing, multivariate testing, and other experiments to measure the impact of AI-driven growth initiatives.
  • Prioritize and manage the implementation of product enhancements, collaborating closely with engineering teams to ship features that align with strategic goals.
  • Regularly report on product performance, providing actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners to facilitate product innovation and growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in a combined product and software engineering role.
  • Hands-on experience shipping code and building products; strong ability to contribute to technical execution when needed.
  • Proven experience driving growth strategies through product development, data analysis, and user experience optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven product decision-making.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (React, Node) and familiarity with cloud infrastructure and AI technologies.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building products that improve patient outcomes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Successfully built and shipped consumer facing products
