We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our Houston team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting engineering drawings and developing fabrication plans to ensure efficient manufacturing processes. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings to develop comprehensive fabrication plans
- Order necessary materials to support production needs
- Schedule and oversee equipment maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Enter drawings into the ERP system for accurate tracking and management
- Assist in shop scheduling to optimize workflow and resource allocation
- Conduct costing of jobs to ensure budget adherence and profitability
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
Requirements
- 5 years manufacturing experience
- Associates or bachelors degree in relevant field or additional experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- CAD/CAM experience preferred
