Network Engineer
Overview
Hepburn and Sons LLC is looking for a Network Engineer to join our Wallops Island team. You will be assigned as part of our technical work force to support management, operation, and technical expertise for the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) of Wallops Island. You will provide support to test, evaluate and conduct fleet operations and training for Combat Systems during systems testing or warfare operator training on a variety of Aegis baseline configurations.

Responsibilities
Perform switch testing, break and relink switch paths to support customer set ups, investigate and correct Network switching issues, install/remove new and old equipment and cables to include: low level serial, parallel, and fiber optics
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in a computer science or information technology discipline; Five (5) additional years of demonstrated experience as outline above can be substituted for a degree
- 3 years of demonstrated network engineering knowledge, with a preference for demonstrated combat systems network engineering knowledge relevant to AEGIS, AEGIS BMD, SSDS or DDG 1000 Weapon and Combat Systems
- Ability to obtain Secret DoD level clearance
