IPG Mediabrands, the media and marketing solutions division of Interpublic Group, is seeking a highly organized and strategic Media Buyer to manage negotiation, placement, and stewardship of video and audio media for agency accounts. The role involves vendor negotiation, campaign monitoring, and market research to optimize media buying strategies.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Vendor negotiation expertise.
  • Experience with broadcast TV, radio, and cable media buying.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate, place, and oversee video and audio media buys for assigned agency accounts.
  • Estimate, update, and adjust broadcast ratings and impressions to optimize market reach.
  • Negotiate and document rates, special placements, and added value opportunities.
  • Build and maintain long-term media partnerships with vendors on behalf of clients.
  • Ensure strategic consistency and campaign execution within budgets and goals.
  • Monitor campaign schedules and arrange for makegoods and credits to optimize results.
  • Track media expenditures and ensure compliance with budget allocations.
  • Analyze and report on broadcast delivery performance ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Research industry trends and collaborate with vendors and media teams to resolve issues.
  • Communicate campaign orders and adjustments clearly to media vendors.
  • Participate in media training and ongoing professional development.
