Social Media Specialist

Description

We are seeking a dynamic and creative professional to boost our social media presence and engagement. As a Part-Time (or Contract) Social Media Specialist, you will develop and implement strategies to increase followers, enhance content interaction, and drive traffic to our platforms. If you are passionate about social media trends, skilled in creating compelling content, and have a proven track record in social media management and analytics, we want to hear from you!

  

  • Content Creation: Design and create engaging, on-brand content (including posts, stories, videos, and graphics) tailored to platforms such as Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok.  
  • Strategy Development: Develop and execute social media strategies to increase follower count, boost engagement, and drive      traffic to our website and other platforms.
  • Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions to foster a positive and interactive      online community.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze key performance metrics (e.g., engagement rates, follower growth, and traffic      referrals) using tools like Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or platform-specific insights, and provide regular reports with actionable      recommendations.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with social media trends, algorithms, and best practices to ensure our content remains      relevant and impactful.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and manage paid social media campaigns, including budget allocation and performance tracking, to maximize ROI.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align social media efforts with overall brand goals and campaigns.

Requirements

  

Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven track record in social media management, with at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and analytics tools.
    • Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for crafting compelling and brand-aligned content.
    • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
    • Familiarity with paid social media advertising and campaign management.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Attributes:
    • Creative, proactive, and passionate about social media and digital trends.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Team player with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Work Schedule

  • Hours: Part-time, approximately 15-20 hours per week.
  • Flexibility: Remote work with flexible scheduling, but availability for occasional team meetings (in-person) is required.
