Responsibilities
- Manage employment-related disputes including attorney demands, agency charges, and lawsuits in state or federal courts.
- Provide timely legal advice to HR and management on leaves, accommodations, wage and hour, discipline, and employee relations.
- Stay updated and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and related legislative changes.
- Deliver training to HR and field management on employment law topics.
- Support strategic employment law compliance projects and collaborate on employment strategies.
- Manage budgets with outside counsel and report litigation risks.
Education
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Admission or eligibility for admission to state bar as in-house counsel.
