- Support Primrose’s growth strategy by providing strategic and effective legal advice on real estate and development-related matters, including real estate acquisition, leasing, acquisition of existing childcare centers, lending and refinancing and construction of schools
- Manage outside counsel relationships
- Collaborate with internal teams to establish and execute real estate and development strategy for the franchise system, manage inter-department input into legal documents, and oversee consummation of the transactions therein
- Manage and maintain all legal documentation related to real estate
- Administer and advise on company real estate agreement standards and template provisions and forms
- Develop, implement and improve processes and training as needed, based on legal requirements, industry standards, and best practices
- Assist in resolving issues on real estate and development matters as they arise, including franchise-related aspects
- Provide support on other legal matters, as needed
- J.D. and a license to practice law
- 10+ years’ experience in real estate law
- Experience running a real estate transaction from start to finish with minimal supervision
- Prior experience in franchise industry (preferred)
- Experience analyzing, interpreting, and clearly communicating legal strategies and requirements to/for non-lawyer colleagues
- Agility and high attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Commission or bonuses based on company performance
