Tax Accountant
Skills
- Knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Experience with tax preparation and provision software (OneSource Income Tax and OneSource Tax Provision)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel with modeling and spreadsheet skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Support income tax compliance processes including preparation of tax workpapers for federal, state, local, and international tax returns.
- Prepare federal and state estimated tax and extension payment calculations ensuring timely submissions.
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision (ASC 740) calculations and documentation.
- Maintain and monitor tax calendar for timely filing of all tax-related submissions.
- Research tax issues and changes in laws and assess impacts on the company.
- Support audits by responding to inquiries and gathering required documentation.
- Maintain accurate tax records and internal documentation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, legal, and operations teams on tax matters.
- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities in tax workflows.
- Support tax planning initiatives and special projects as needed.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification or candidate preferred
