Work with team members to administer and execute the U.S. Customs Compliance Program at the branch and regional level, according to company objectives, policies, and procedures.

North Central Rationalization Audit Team (NCRAT)

• Manage audits and review of the Import and Export Declaration Monitoring Applications (IDMA and EDMA) for the North Central Region
• Review and close out discrepant files

Branch Compliance

• Import
  • Manage statement workflow and pay Customs statement
  • Issue, renew, and cancel Customs continuous bonds and monitor insufficiency reporting
  • Review Powers of Attorney for validity and upload to the POA tool
  • Review Importer Questionnaires for completeness
  • Manage and maintain PSM uploads
  • Complete post-entry procedures
  • Monitor and action inquiries through the inquiry tracker
  • Attend monthly import Customs compliance conference calls
• Export
  • Manage export compliance alerts (weekly/monthly)
  • Review RSIs for validity and upload into the POA tool
  • Monitor and action inquiries through the inquiry tracker
  • Attend monthly export Customs compliance conference calls
• Report Management
  • Monitor compliance reporting
• Training
  • Develop and facilitate AUE training
  • Develop and facilitate customer- or operator-specific training
  • Support and facilitation corporate-required training
     

• Required:
  • Successful completion or active pursuit of CECS and CICS programs
  • Licensed Customs Broker or actively pursuing
  • Strong working knowledge in either e.TMS or CFIT, including import applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to cooperate effectively with both internal and external customers across all levels of an organization
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Research, problem-solving, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to articulate clearly through written and oral presentation
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks to completion simultaneously
  • Ability to relate to clients, Customs and other government officials, and employees at all levels
• Preferred:
  • 3 years of experience in import or export
  • Understanding of one or more:
    • Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
    • Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)
    • Foreign Trade Statistics Regulations (FTSR)
    • Harmonized Tariff Schedule United States (HTSUS)

This position is located in the North Central Region.  Candidate can sit in any local branch including DTW, BUF, SDF, CLE, CVG, CMH.
