Position Overview:
Children’s Home Society of South Dakota is seeking a Residential Program Director who oversees the daily operations and clinical aspects of the residential treatment program in a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF). This position is responsible for ensuring the quality and effectiveness of care provided to youth at CHS, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, and leading a team of professionals in the delivery of therapeutic services. The Residential Program Director is an integral part of the CHS leadership team, providing direction and support to staff while fostering a positive and safe environment for both clients and staff. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Residential environment focused on care of children with behavioral issues. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to physically restrain a child in ways taught by the Agency while being able to verbally communicate to the child and other staff. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
