Description
This position will be responsible for supporting the Cazenovia, NY facility.
Key Responsibilities
HR Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist the HR Department in completing key initiatives and strategic processes.
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation of Employee Handbook.
- Provide customer service functions to all employees.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to supervisors through coaching, counseling, career development, and/or disciplinary actions.
- Assist supervisors to manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, promote engagement, and increase productivity/retention.
- Process personnel transactions in all systems.
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Administer the company’s employee benefit plans to include claims processing and resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefit information to employees.
- Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
- Creation and delivery of messages in plant-wide communication meetings and other communication channels.
- Assist with coordinating and implementing site programs and special events.
- Provide support to and mentor other HR team members
- Follow and support all safety practices by wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE), following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and complying with safety signs and placards, maintaining good housekeeping, communicating unsafe practices and conditions to your local or PD EHS teams, and reporting all safety incidents (including near misses) as they occur.

ADMIN Duties & Responsibilities:
- Daily admin tasks including, but not limited to: answering and transferring phone calls, signing in visitors, keeping track of visitor requests and arranging meals and conference rooms as needed, filing confidential personnel documents, receiving and sending mail
- Inventory and ordering of vending and administrative supplies
- Assist plant manager with sending out birthday/work anniversary/holiday cards
- Control badge access system for all employee and visitor accesses, temporary badge cards
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or HR field (preferred) and a minimum of two (2) years HR work experience in a coordinator or generalist role
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- ADP and/or Oracle system experience a plus.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality on sensitive issues a must.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.

Work Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting salary for this role is targeted to be between $62,500 to $75,000 annually.
Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company. It is to be expected that candidates will come to us with different sets of skills and experiences and therefore will be paid at different points in the stated range.
