Acoustical Sheetmetal Company (ASC) is a leading custom fabrication and manufacturing firm headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA. ASC is entering a new phase of strategic growth and operational expansion. The?Organizational Development (OD) Manager?plays a pivotal role in leading change management, improving organizational effectiveness, and shaping a positive workplace culture during a time of dynamic expansion. This role will work cross-functionally to design and implement development strategies that support employee growth, performance excellence, and strategic alignment. 


Responsibilities 

  • Assess current organizational structure, culture, and performance systems to identify development opportunities and performance gaps. 
  • Design and implement organizational change initiatives that enhance workforce effectiveness and operational efficiency. 
  • Partner with leadership and HR teams to drive strategies for talent management, succession planning, and leadership development. 
  • Promote and manage employee engagement strategies, including surveys, focus groups, and feedback tools to inform decision-making. 
  • Develop and deliver training, coaching, and development programs aligned with ASC’s strategic goals. 
  • Lead initiatives to build a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture. 
  • Utilize data analytics tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs), measure outcomes, and adjust strategies for continuous improvement. 
  • Facilitate communication across departments to foster alignment, trust, and transparency. 
  • Stay informed about OD trends, best practices, and legal compliance to ensure ASC remains a progressive and compliant workplace. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • Professional certification required:?PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP or similar
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in organizational development, talent management, or HR leadership. 
  • Proven experience leading change initiatives in a growing or transitioning company environment. 
  • Strong command of data-driven decision-making, with experience using performance management and analytics platforms. 
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills. 
  • Demonstrated success in building employee development programs and positive organizational culture. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master’s degree in Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, or MBA with HR concentration. 
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors. 
  • Familiarity with tools such as: Workday, ADP Workforce Now, Gallup Clifton Strengths, Culture Amp, or similar OD platforms.
