Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of policies and procedures aligned to Corporate Strategy and Strategic Initiatives organization (e.g., annual strategic planning process, investment planning, etc.), including ensuring requirements are communicated, understood & adhered to
2. Understands the regulatory requirements and ensures all applicable laws, rules, regulations, internal policies, standards, and procedures related to the Corporate Strategy owned policies/procedures/MSIs, etc. are being followed and can evidence adherence.
3. Represent Corporate Strategy during internal or regulatory audits/examinations/assessments (including preparation/coordination of key artifacts)
4. Liaise with internal audit, risk and compliance functions to address governance related issues or gaps including driving effective issues management and remediation execution as needed
5. Act as a conduit between the control organization, first line teammates and second line risk program owners/risk partners.
6. Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a robust quality assurance program inclusive of standing governance activities to ensure adherence to applicable requirements (including record retention, effective controls to mitigate inherent risks, alignment to internal risk frameworks etc.)
7. Facilitate the program management piece of the annual strategic planning process with an eye toward continuous process improvements
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Eight to ten years of banking or related financial services experience
3. Comprehensive knowledge of general banking, risk management, and audit practices
4. Ability to provide effective challenge to senior levels of leadership
5. Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
6. Proven leadership skills; ability to influence others toward positive change outcomes.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with senior stakeholders inside and outside the organization
8. Adept with Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience working for or with (significant interactions) regulatory agencies (FRB, OCC, FDIC)
2. Experience in designing, developing, implementing and executing corporate risk programs or initiatives
3. Certified PMP and/or Six Sigma designations
