Benefits Manager

The City of Fort Worth seeks a Benefits Manager to oversee and strategize benefits and wellness programs serving approximately 7,500 employees and retirees. The role involves managing a self-funded medical plan with a $125M budget, supervising a small team, and ensuring vendor compliance and financial stewardship.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of 3 employees and indirect supervision of 3 others including goal assignments and performance appraisals.
  • Interpret and explain benefits and Human Resources policies.
  • Maintain vendor contract compliance for approximately 30 contracts including RFP to implementation.
  • Manage financial stewardship of the City's benefits and wellness budget.
  • Act as liaison with other City departments and divisions.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
