Security and Compliance Specialist II
Skills
- Knowledge of cloud security concepts and architecture
- Experience with security and compliance monitoring tools and processes
- Familiarity with data privacy laws and standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, CCPA, GDPR, etc.)
- Understanding of security frameworks like CSA CCM, NIST, CoBIT, Trust Service Criteria
- Ability to adapt to emerging AI technologies with responsible governance
- Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Perform operational maintenance such as access reviews, vendor risk assessments, and SOC 2 control execution
- Manage and assist with SOC 2 and other recurring audits alongside third-party auditors
- Collaborate with control owners to interpret audit requirements and manage remediation efforts
- Develop and enhance security training and awareness programs across the organization
- Assess regulatory changes and their impact on security, compliance, and privacy programs
- Develop, implement, and consult on security and privacy policies, controls, and procedures
- Evaluate security and privacy posture of third-party and native tools, including AI technologies
- Contribute to a collaborative, transparent team environment emphasizing empathy and learning
- Partner with program managers and security leadership to drive project and process improvements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Accounting, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
