Payroll Analyst

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Analyst ensures accurate and timely payroll processing for the organization. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and employees to ensure compliance with federal and multi-state regulations and tax laws. The Analyst conducts payroll analysis and validations, integrates data from various sources, and develops innovative solutions to enhance payroll processes. A strong passion for payroll and a commitment to improving efficiency and accuracy are essential for success in this role.

PAYROLL ADMINISTRATION

Complete payroll process from start to finish for our North America biweekly pay group, processing multi-state payroll for over 3,700 salaried and hourly employees.

Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

Prepare payroll reports and analysis for management review.

Assist with proper documentation and record-keeping is being kept for all processed payrolls.

Audit all non-discretionary bonuses and commissions are accurately included in the regular rate of pay for overtime calculations.

Assist with internal and external audits by providing required payroll documentation and explanations.

Generate files for importing monthly and quarterly bonuses and commissions into the payroll system.

TIME AND ATTENDANCE, PAYROLL, AND HRIS

Create customized reports and queries, conducting audits to ensure data integrity.

Prepare and maintain Payroll accurate records.

Ensure all timesheet records are completed and approved before finalizing payroll.

Perform testing for system upgrades and assist with payroll implementations.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

Assist with quarterly and year-end audits to ensure accurate generation of W-2 forms.

Monitor payroll related trends, regulatory updates and tax changes in partnership with Payroll Tax Manager.

5+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) Preferred

Experienced with Ceridian Dayforce

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Proficiency with MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, functions).

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Understanding of payroll laws and regulations.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, skilled in communicating with all levels of management across diverse divisions and departments

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.

The base salary range for this position is $68,000 to $102,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
