The Senior Manager, Accounting and Financial Reporting (the “Senior Manager”) will lead a team responsible for external financial reporting and certain key accounting issues. Primary responsibilities include the preparation of US GAAP financials for the purposes of preparing the Form 20-F, 6-K filings, and earnings releases.  In addition, the Senior Manager will research and analyze certain accounting matters including revenue recognition, share-based compensation, and other complex accounting topics. The Senior Manager will then be a key contact for the external auditors for all SEC filings.  Finally, the Senior Manager will collaborate closely with G/L Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Legal, HR, and other operational departments within Mynd.ai to understand and proactively review and provide guidance to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the SEC reporting team and process, including but not limited to the preparation of Form 20-F, 6-K filings, and earnings releases.
  • Lead the accounting research, analysis, documentation, and enablement of significant or complex accounting matters.
  • Ensure effective controls around the SEC reporting process.
  • Facilitate the review of Financial Statements with external auditors, the Executive Leadership Team, and other operational leaders as needed.
  • Oversee the preparation of accounting entries for complex matters, including but not limited to revenue recognition, acquisition accounting, stock compensation expense, restructuring, and lease accounting.
  • Coordinate the review of complex accounting matters as part interim review and annual audit processes with external auditors.
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships and serve as a key business partner with G/L Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Legal, and HR to ensure that all transactions are properly reflected in the financial statements.
  • Serve as a people manager for one or more direct reports in the SEC Reporting department.


Job Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA and or public accounting experience required.
  • 7+ years of relevant accounting and reporting experience.
  • Proficient accounting skills and thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
  • Revenue recognition experience, particularly related to software-as-a-service, strongly preferred.
  • Experience with the application and adoption of new accounting standards.
  • Management and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in a global public company preferred.
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and consistency in preparing work.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative skills and accounting research skills.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; be self-motivated and proactive.


Base Range: $127,800 - $160,000 + Bonus Eligible

For business reasons, Promethean does not employ individuals who work remotely in San Francisco, San Jose or Oakland.
