Job Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for the identification, prioritization, and execution of quality improvement initiatives for an Off Road product line. The Field Performance Engineer will accomplish this through the analysis of incoming field data (warranty, service, and NPS), driving both root cause and solutions that will improve product quality and ownership experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor incoming field performance channels to identify problems early and initiate root cause and counter measure process.
Lead the Off Road Customer Quality meeting(s), driving action on and logging status of key quality improvement initiative areas. Keep action register list up to date including all effectivity dates and expected impact for implemented topics.
Lead root cause problem solving for quality topics – includes the indirect leadership of cross functional teams – driving topic root cause, counter measure, and hand off long-term corrective action if necessary.
Bi-Monthly quality data review to ensure the top priority quality items are being worked on and addressed.
Prepare monthly project status Warranty Reports one week ahead to allow enough time for review and revisions. Prepare monthly quality blitz summary from action register for Project Status and MOR.
Support full circle learning by driving quality issue root cause details into the respective requirements management tool for the given component / system.
Warranty and NPS data pull as requested for Systems Engineering team to assist in evaluation of IR’s and potential fixes.
Collaborate with Quality NPI team to lead identification of quality topics for new projects, building necessity into QDM for both planned change and new programs to address through gated programs. Supported with data.

Skills / Training:
BSME or Similar field of study, or 5+ years and proven experience in related field
Demonstrated root cause problem solving skills
Familiarity with off road vehicles and consumer use cases
Strong communication / presentation skills
Self-starter that requires minimal direction - quick learner with high level of ambition
Strong organizational skills and ability to move multiple items forward in parallel
Strong people/teamwork skills; able to work well in a team environment with the ability to influence indirectly as needed.
Strong Microsoft Suite skills; Power BI experience helpful
Basic understanding of statistical methods / data analysis / data acquisition
Travel up to 25% (domestic/some international)

The pay range for Minnesota is $96,000 to $127,000 per year. Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
