Product Safety & Quality Leader

Job Summary

Leads the identification and escalation of product safety and quality concerns for the Post Sales Surveillance (PSS) team. Works cross-functionally within Business Units to trend, analyze, and lead data driven decisions regarding product safety and quality. In addition, the role is expected to drive continuous improvement efforts in relation to our internal processes for field data management and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as a subject matter expert for product safety and quality issues associated with released product for a given product line(s). Serve as a primary point-of-contact for knowledge regarding safety and quality issues for a given product line(s).
  • Analyze warranty, technical and consumer service cases, warranty parts return data, social media, consumer surveys, and other data sources to identify trends (or anomalies) related to product safety and quality.
  • Assist the investigation and documentation of potential product safety issues within Engineering.
  • Lead cross-functional “Early Warning” meetings to inform Business Units of emerging issues.
  • Advocate on behalf of customers and dealers, providing insight to product development through service/claim comments and market research.
  • Analyze field problems to support identification and implementation of solutions with both the Field Performance and Business Unit engineering teams.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement efforts within the PSS & Analytics organization.
  • Supports creation and validation of new tools / processes to analyze and monitor field signals created by the PSS Analytics team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills

  • 3+ years of prior experience within product quality, engineering, or service. Experience within the Powersports or Automotive industries is preferred.
  • Proficient with data analytics, trend analysis, and basic reporting methods.
  • Extensive use of the Microsoft Office Suite. Experienced with Excel & Pivot Tables. Experience with JIRA software is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.

The pay range for Minnesota is $71,000 to $94,000 per year. Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
