Devops Engineer (Contract Role)
Skills
- 3+ years of DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering experience
- Strong hands-on expertise with AWS CDK, Terraform, and TypeScript
- Experience building, deploying, and monitoring AWS ECS and Lambda functions
- Proficiency managing PostgreSQL databases on AWS (RDS/Aurora)
- CI/CD tools experience such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
- Excellent Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting skills
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Expertise in Git version control and branching strategies
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration fundamentals
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure using AWS CDK, Terraform, and TypeScript
- Develop and optimize AWS ECS and serverless applications leveraging AWS Lambda
- Establish and streamline CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and improve reliability
- Manage, monitor, and optimize PostgreSQL databases hosted on AWS (RDS/Aurora)
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for infrastructure observability
- Enforce and improve security standards across all infrastructure components
- Automate operational tasks to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention
- Collaborate closely with development teams to identify, diagnose, and resolve production issues
- Maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure architecture and deployment processes
- Participate actively in code reviews, offering infrastructure insights and best practices
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred
