About The Position | Major goals and objectives and location requirements 

Dotdash Meredith is seeking a Senior Manager, Brand Marketing to join our Lifestyle team, contributing to the brand strategy for Travel + Leisure, Midwest Living, and Coastal Living. As an integral part of our Lifestyle Brand Marketing team, you will support the go-to-market pre-sale process and play a strategic role in driving revenue growth with advertising partners across print, digital, and event platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with editorial teams and General Managers to develop impactful marketing programs, working alongside Vertical Marketing, Digital Sales, Print Sales, and Strategic Account teams to ensure our offerings effectively drive revenue growth.

This hybrid role, based in NYC, requires a minimum of three days in the office each week and reports directly to the Sr. Director, Brand Marketing - Travel

Hybrid 3x a week- (New York City) 

In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

 

About The Team: | Travel Sales Marketing

  • Brand Evangelist: Be an expert on the travel brands across all platforms; providing support and regularly continuing brand education to sales and marketing as needed

  • Editorial Brand Strategy + Packaging: Work closely with the Editorial teams to develop and refine content strategies based on account-specific and vertical-specific insights; packaging go-to-market materials accordingly

  • Develop Marketing Materials: Create presentations and sell sheets that communicate the brands’ unique value proposition to advertising clients across all verticals

  • Brand Communication: Present and rollout new brand-driven materials to Sales and Marketing teams across Dotdash Meredith as needed

  • Cross-Department Communication: Partner closely with Editorial, Content Strategy, Research, Account Strategy, and Design and more to ensure editorial programs are accurately reflected in client pitches

  • Travel Advisory Board Communication: Become an expert on Travel + Leisure’s Travel Advisory Board programs and maintain consistent communication with its members

  • Proactive Ideation: Create new opportunities grounded in the DNA of our brands and brought to life through well-written and visually appealing materials

  • Sales & Marketing Partnership: Develop strong relationships with the Sales and Marketing teams, becoming the expert on brand-driven opportunities that can support their business; provide support on client calls, as needed

 

About The Positions  Contributions: Weight %Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results

50% Work closely with sales, marketing, account strategy, and editorial solutions to respond to cross-vertical editorial requests for client pitches

40% Create visually compelling presentations and sell sheets that clearly communicate program details to advertising clients across all verticals

10% Participate in editorial content meetings to help guide concept development and maintain accuracy of all editorial packages in Airtable

The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements

Education:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree 

 

Experience:

3-5 years relevant experience at a digital and/or print publisher, with a focus in pre-sales marketing; background in Travel category is a plus. 

 

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

  • Excellent creative writing and storytelling skills with an ability to execute visually impactful presentations (fluent in Keynote and Powerpoint)

  • You’re an excellent communicator, who remains poised under pressure and can tailor messages for different audiences

  • You have an understanding of digital advertising landscape, products, and trends; understanding of print and/or programmatic marketplace is a plus

  • You are a true self-starter – provide proactive ideas, understand organizational goals, and move initiatives forward

  • You are comfortable working in a fast paced environment

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith’s total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives. In addition, Dotdash Meredith provides to employees (and their eligible family members) a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, unlimited paid time off (PTO), adoption or surrogate assistance, donation matching, tuition reimbursement, basic life insurance, basic accidental death & dismemberment, supplemental life insurance, supplemental accident insurance, commuter benefits, short term and long term disability, health savings and flexible spending accounts, family care benefits, a generous 401K savings plan with a company match program, 10-12 paid holidays annually, and generous paid parental leave (birthing and non-birthing parents), all of which may vary depending on the specific nature of your employment with Dotdash Meredith and your work location.
