How You’ll Make a Difference:

As Senior UX Designer on Klaviyo's Brand & Creative Team, you will significantly influence user-centered design for our web and digital platforms, directly impacting strategic goals like scaling our design system, driving international growth, and delivering personalized experiences to our customers. A key focus will be evolving and maintaining our Figma design system, ensuring accessibility best practices, and creating efficiencies across teams. Collaborating with Brand & Creative, Web, Product & Integrated Marketing, Engineering, Events, and International teams, you will craft user flows & wireframes to inform strategy alignment, design data-driven interactive prototypes to drive alignment, and create visually appealing, intuitive, and accessible experiences across our web & digital platforms.

Key activities where you'll make an impact:

• UX Design: Create impactful user-centered design solutions that contribute to Klaviyo's personalization and international growth strategies.
• User Research and Analysis: Champion a customer-first approach by leading in-depth user research, including accessibility testing and global user insights, to identify opportunities for improved experiences and inform design decisions that resonate with diverse audiences.
• Information Architecture: Design intuitive and globally accessible information architectures that enable users worldwide to easily find what they need.
• Wireframing: Develop low to mid-fidelity wireframes that effectively communicate design concepts and user flows, incorporating accessibility and internationalization considerations from the outset to ensure a seamless global experience.
  
  

• UI Design: Drive the refinement and evolution of our component libraries to ensure scalability, consistency, and adherence to global accessibility standards, directly contributing to the efficiency and quality of our design system. 
• Interactive Prototypes: Create interactive prototypes in Figma to effectively communicate responsive design concepts to stakeholders and leadership.
• Design System Maintenance: Collaborate with teammates across Marketing to drive the maintenance and management of our Figma design system and component libraries, ensuring scalability, consistency, and new functionality to support localization and personalization across Marketing websites.
• Accessibility Advocacy: Champion and implement accessibility best practices and adhere to accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 and EAA Compliance) ensuring inclusive experiences for our global user base.
• Exploration of Emerging Technologies: Experiment with AI tools to optimize design workflows, enhance efficiencies in the design system, and automate repetitive tasks, freeing up capacity to focus on strategic initiatives.

Who You Are:

• 5+ years of experience in UX design (SaaS strongly preferred), with a robust portfolio showcasing your web design skills, meticulous attention to detail, and experience building and maintaining design systems.
• Design System Expert: Proven experience in developing, documenting, and implementing design systems in Figma.
• Accessibility Champion: Deep understanding of and practical experience implementing WCAG guidelines and accessibility best practices in digital design.
• User-Centric Creative: A deep understanding of user-centered design principles, best practices, and methodologies, with a strong focus on inclusive 
• design.
• Strong Visual Design Skills: A keen eye for detail and the ability to create aesthetically pleasing, intuitive, and accessible interfaces.
• Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to clearly articulate strategy and communicate design concepts and rationale (including accessibility considerations) to stakeholders, including leadership.
• Problem-solver: A knack for transforming complex ideas into seamless, intuitive, and engaging web and digital experiences.
• Customer-First: Strong experience in usability testing, user/design research, and user feedback analysis from diverse user groups.
• On Time, All the Time: Ability to independently lead projects from inception to completion; solid prioritization and time-management skills.

• From Figma to Front-End: Familiarity with front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
• Always Learning: A passion for exploring emerging technologies and AI-powered tools to enhance UX processes and workflows, streamline design -> dev handoff, and automate repetitive tasks.
• Motion Design (Preferred): Experience creating web-friendly animations (microinteractions, animated iconography, kinetic typography) and/or bringing product-centric  visuals to life with industry-standard tools like: Rive, Jitter, GSAP, Lottie.
