Tax Manager - CPA Firm

Our client serves a diverse portfolio of Mid-Atlantic individual and business clients across manufacturing, wholesale, professional services, commercial development, contracting, nonprofits, and government sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and manage complex tax returns: individual, partnership, S-Corp, C-Corp, and fiduciary
• Analyze estate and trust documents with sophisticated clients
• Lead client relationship management and business development initiatives
• Supervise and mentor tax staff (2 supervisors, 3 staff members)
• Collaborate with attorneys and professional advisors on complex matters
• Conduct advanced tax research and planning strategies

Required:

• Bachelor's in Accounting from accredited institution
• Active CPA license OR Enrolled Agent certification
• 5+ years public accounting or equivalent experience
• Hands-on experience with high-net-worth individual, partnership, corporate, estate, trust, and gift returns
• Direct experience analyzing estate and trust documents
• Proficiency with tax software (CCH Access Suite preferred) and Excel/Word
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Preferred:

• Master's in Taxation
• Advanced fiduciary tax experience beyond basic compliance
• Business development experience
• Profit-sharing/defined contribution plan expertise

Base Salary: $120,000 - $175,000 (flexible for exceptional candidates)

Commission Structure: Additional earning potential through new business development
