Brown & Brown is seeking a Claims Specialist to join our growing team in Doral, FL!
The Claims Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding claims matters. This role works closely with Producers, Account Managers, and clients to manage and advocate for claims throughout the process. The Claims Specialist is responsible for ensuring a smooth claims experience by coordinating with carriers, resolving issues, and supporting the retention and satisfaction of our clients.
How You Will Contribute:
Acceptance of all Claims, assignments to companies and/or independent services, discussions with insureds regarding coverage, and processing of claims.
Claims handling, claims issues, preventative/mitigating measures.
Oversee clerical processing of all incoming/outgoing claim documentation.
Monitor claim workflow and create or recommend procedures to increase efficiency.
Develop new ways to improve claim handling, customers perception and expectations to increase account retention.
Calculate the present and future experience of modification to show future savings or potential rate increases.
Ongoing claims monitoring/management.
Attend meetings with Producers when presenting proposals to discuss claim handling for their account.
Assist claims adjustors with claims information and review loss runs.
Aid Producers with the completion of ACORD Applications and information gathering.
Processing certificates of insurance & procuring MVR’s and Loss Runs for the Commercial Lines Team.
Licenses and Certifications:
FL 440 or 220 Property & Casualty License or 620 Adjuster License within 3-6 months after start date.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
Prior experience working in the commercial insurance industry (Preferred)
Experience with Agency Management System (AMS360) (Preferred)
