Software Engineer - Over-the-Air (OTA) Updates (VehicleOS)
Skills
- 4+ years developing distributed systems and scalable cloud-native applications primarily in C++ and Go
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and DevOps practices including CI/CD and containerization
- Strong knowledge of secure software deployment practices, cryptographic signing, and encrypted communication protocols
- Proficiency in managing packages for embedded Linux and real-time operating systems across hardware platforms
- Experience with microservices architecture and service mesh technologies
- Understanding of CDN and package delivery network architectures
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable OTA update platforms for firmware, applications, and configurations using C++ and Go
- Implement secure update delivery pipelines with cryptographic signing and authentication
- Build and maintain cloud-based OTA infrastructure with distributed systems and container orchestration
- Develop package management systems handling versioning and dependencies for diverse device ecosystems
- Optimize content delivery networks (CDNs) for fast and reliable software updates in bandwidth-constrained environments
- Create monitoring and analytics tools to track update performance and campaign status globally
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
