2025 US Open Player Operations Liaison - Indoor Tennis Center (Seasonal)

The US Open Player Operations Liaison is responsible for working collectively between the Hospitality team and the Player Operations team to ensure smooth handover and communication of the shared Indoor Tennis Center facility. The role will coordinate successful operations of the player lounge / dining area, fitness centers, practice courts, and locker rooms, as well as serve as a resource for the officials lounge, park courts, events and hospitality team, nursery, and Juniors staff once on site.This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively manage staff and resolve any conflicts that may arise.

The Role

• Managing player lounge / dining area: keeping area tidy (chairs pushed in, tables clean), changing tvs to appropriate channels/matches, picking up in game area, helping to clear guests out of event space at appropriate times and reopen in a timely manner, assisting security in who can and cannot be let in. 
• Managing additional player operation areas: work closely with locker room and fitness staff to make sure it is stocked and staffed, decide when to close down locker rooms and fitness spaces, help designate how much water and electrolyte goes to each area, ensure that spaces are appropriately prepped for Junior players, monitor practice court usage and ball distribution, notifying security of big names needing security.  
• Point Person: be an available resource for park courts, officials, nursery, and junior staff for any needs (supplies, questions, etc).
• Liaison for Hospitality Team: work with events and hospitality team to clear event side from players and break down events after, manage ITC access tickets by coordinating with player services to handout wristbands and security to let them in, work with IT to ensure tvs are working properly.

Who You Are

• Experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a high-pressure environment such as hospitality, sports, or entertainment.
• Proven experience in leading and motivating teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Understanding of major-event Hospitality needs and operations.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion in a high-profile environment such as US Open Player Operations. 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift and carry moderate weights.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.

Compensation: Hourly rate of $25.00
