Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
At least two years experience in a university setting
Applicable equivalencies may be considered for the above qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in higher education, communications, health promotion or other related field from an accredited institution of higher education
Experience in public health communications
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of best practices in communications and public relations
Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and sustain collegial relationships
Excellent written communication skills
Ability to research topics, create and deliver customized health communications to diverse constituencies
Ability to plan, format and implement a strategic plan for communications and public relations
Ability to demonstrate a passion for student success through supportive and student-centered actions
Ability to manage a website and construct content for website
Ability to effectively implement and manage social media strategies to increase engagement, brand awareness, and audience growth across key platforms
