Tooling Engineer (Raptor)
Skills
- Experience in mechanical engineering design or commissioning for manufacturing projects.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as NX, CATIA, or ProE.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including welding, machining, assembly, and inspection.
- Familiarity with electromechanical systems and custom machine design.
- Understanding of drafting standards and GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
- Ability to perform structural analysis using FEMAP, NASTRAN, ANSYS, or NX Advance Simulation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement custom production equipment focused on automated systems and mechanical structures for the Raptor engine.
- Collaborate with production personnel and multidisciplinary engineering teams to meet development, rate, and quality targets.
- Solve complex, open-ended engineering problems emphasizing speed and efficiency.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing scope and complexity in a fast-paced environment.
- Set and maintain design schedules and budgets, securing necessary buy-in from users and management.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM discipline required.
- Master’s degree in mechanical or mechatronic engineering preferred.
