Skills
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or Python/R for dynamic system analysis or modeling
- Experience with statistics, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and data visualization
- Familiarity with CAD software, Power BI, and discrete event modeling tools
- Knowledge of inventory, production, and capacity planning including MRP/ERP systems
- Understanding of lean manufacturing, six sigma, and related production principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
Responsibilities
- Develop tools for analyzing delivery, capacity, production processes, supply chain, and operations to guide decision-making
- Lead strategy development to mitigate launch risks and improve quality, output, safety, and cost
- Create process flow models to analyze and synchronize production system behavior within the Starshield program
- Identify operational challenges, determine root causes, and develop actionable solutions
- Develop and track key performance metrics to optimize production to meet demand
- Implement system and process improvements across functional areas
- Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and accounting teams to align efforts
- Capture best practices and manage organizational knowledge and lessons-learned
- Build models and layouts to assist in strategic space planning for Starshield
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
