Responsibilities: You will coordinate projects, assist in creative development, conduct market research, prepare and manage editorial content, and communicate with various teams to ensure deadlines are met.
Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and grammar skills, along with knowledge of book production processes and a passion for fiction are essential.
Qualifications: 1-2 years of publishing experience preferred, along with a Bachelor of Arts degree, or equivalent experience.
Location: This role allows for hybrid work, with the option to work remotely from multiple states, including Illinois.
Compensation: $21 - $24 / Hourly
As an Editorial Assistant, you will work closely with acquiring editors to accomplish all steps of widely varying projects on typically short schedules. Sourcebooks is the largest woman-led publisher in North America and continues to rapidly expand with record-setting growth year over year. This position allows for a hybrid work schedule. There may be the opportunity to work 100% remotely from the following states: Illinois, Arizona, Connecticut, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position with a salary range for this role is $21.16 - $24.04/hourly. We determine starting pay based on a thorough evaluation of job-related factors, including geographic location, market conditions, relevant experience, training, and education. This process ensures a fair and competitive salary that aligns with both the company and the candidate’s qualifications.
