Enterprise Account Executive- SLED

Smartsheet, a leader in work management solutions, is seeking a seasoned Enterprise Account Executive to drive sales within Higher Education and State and Local Government sectors, focusing on the PNW region. The role requires strategic sales expertise, strong stakeholder engagement, and experience navigating complex procurement processes.

Skills

  • Full cycle sales expertise in technology or SaaS fields.
  • Experience with government contracting and procurement vehicles.
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Google Suite.
  • Data-driven sales approach.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Navigate procurement processes and cycles in Higher Education and School Districts.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders including executive leadership and IT.
  • Travel as needed for executive presentations and industry events.
  • Respond to RFPs and RFQs effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with CIOs, IT Directors, and Procurement Officers.
  • Tailor sales presentations to specific needs of educational institutions.
  • Maintain expertise in enterprise technology solutions such as cloud computing and SaaS.
  • Execute solution-based sales processes involving multiple account groups.
  • Develop new business opportunities and expand footprint within existing customers.
  • Collaborate with engineering and customer success teams to manage sales cycle.
  • Use sales enablement tools and CRM platforms to forecast and track sales pipeline.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not explicitly required.
