Responsibilities
- Plan, steer, and monitor Body system requirements including metal, exterior, and interior components
- Ensure integration of results into vehicle and platform development concepts
- Balance goals such as technology, weight, cost, deadlines, quality, and styling
- Manage conflicts related to technical issues, suppliers, and development partners
- Initiate and pursue measures to achieve targets and report to Director of Products, Body
- Assist with product timeline, quality, engineering development, and financial objectives
- Coordinate cross-team, departmental, and cross-brand interface topics
- Identify and negotiate trade-offs and resolve target conflicts across departments
- Drive decision-making in project committees and present cross-functional proposals to executives
Education
- Relevant education in engineering or related automotive discipline (exact degree not specified but expected)
- Certification preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP)
