Saint Mary's University of Minnesota is seeking an assistant professor of mechanical engineering who is eager to contribute to its Lasallian Catholic mission of awakening, nurturing, and empowering learners to ethical lives of service and leadership. We seek a broadly trained candidate with a strong background in the areas of fluid mechanics, materials science, machine design, manufacturing processes, statics and dynamics, computer aided design and production automation. We are interested in candidates whose research and teaching will connect and integrate with other disciplines and who have the potential to collaboratively contribute to interdisciplinary curricular and scholarly efforts within the university.
The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching and mentoring at every level of the undergraduate curriculum in an undergraduate, residential, liberal arts- centered institution. A minimum of a master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field is required, and it should be completed prior to the start date.
Pay range: 70k - 80k
