ROLE OVERVIEW
Pivot Energy is seeking an Energy Storage Engineer to join our team and work across disciplines to support the technical evaluation, selection, and development of battery energy storage in Pivot's project pipeline. This role will be instrumental in guiding Pivot Energy’s procurement, partnerships, and project development decisions in the rapidly evolving energy storage landscape.
The Energy Storage Engineer will provide guidance to inform market offerings to ensure the successful evaluation and execution of storage projects, contributing a strong understanding of battery technologies, procurement & partnership decisions, battery operational parameters, battery system commissioning knowledge, and lifecycle economics. The Energy Storage Engineer will work closely with team members on the Strategy & Engineering teams on energy storage design engineering, equipment reviews and selection, and coordinate with third-party engineering consultants to smoothly navigate our pipeline between our Market Strategy, Engineering, Preconstruction, and Project Management teams. This role is highly collaborative and will require exceptional communication and collaborative skills in addition to technical expertise.
