Senior Engineering Manager (Remote - US)

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a seasoned engineering manager to guide a full-stack team developing core product features used by millions. You’ll lead a cross-functional group responsible for building APIs and frontend experiences that power mission-critical workflows. With a focus on innovation, performance, and scalability, you’ll shape the technical roadmap, mentor talented engineers, and ensure seamless delivery. Accountabilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of full-stack engineers, setting a high bar for technical quality, collaboration, and career growth.
• Provide architectural guidance and hands-on support to ensure clean, scalable, and reliable systems across the stack.
• Drive development of new features within the Tasks platform, balancing speed of execution with long-term sustainability.
• Partner closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering leads to prioritize work, align goals, and deliver user-centric solutions.
• Oversee code quality, reviews, and implementation of development best practices to ensure maintainability and performance.
• Stay informed of emerging technologies and advocate for their adoption where appropriate to improve the platform.
• Foster operational excellence by proactively addressing system reliability, technical debt, and infrastructure optimizations.

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a formal leadership or management role.
• Proven track record of scaling engineering teams and delivering full-stack web applications in fast-paced environments.
• Deep proficiency in modern backend technologies (preferably Node.js), relational databases, and frontend frameworks such as React.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and managing cloud infrastructure in a high-availability context.
• Strong mentoring skills, with the ability to elevate engineering talent through feedback and coaching.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-informed approach to decision making.
• Clear and effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
