QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Marketing, preferably sports marketing
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Advertising or other related discipline
Experience managing a team and a background in project management is required
Strong affinity for golf along with knowledge and understanding of the PGA TOUR, its business model and media relationships
Must possess strong communication, organization, creativity and media management skills
Understanding of driving direct revenue and fan engagement via marketing campaigns – ie. ticket sales, ecommerce, app downloads, etc.)
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Develop and direct marketing strategies, utilizing paid media, earned media and promotions, which build local awareness and revenue for PGA TOUR products.
Work cross functionally with localized stakeholders, Marketing Operations and/or media agency to direct the development and execution of paid media plans which generate awareness and revenue. Manage strategy from start to finish to achieve budget goals.
Collectively work with Creative Studio team and Creative Director to develop a brand strategy and promotional campaign that creates a voice for each assigned product in the local market. Ensure that campaigns align and maintain consistency across various executions, and internal and external partners.
Lead accounts for assigned PGA TOUR products by working cross functionally with internal (Communications, Ticket Operations, Brand Activation, Creative Services, Marketing Operations, Title Sponsor Relations) and external (sponsors, partners, official marketing partners) stakeholders to execute integrated marketing campaigns.
Leverage in-kind and organic media opportunities with media activation team to bolster media presence
Manage and oversee coordination of local marketing campaigns; Tasks include but are not limited to: strategic planning, developing and executing media plans for local and targeted drive markets, email marketing, creative briefing and fulfillment, project management, approvals, meeting notes, event promotions, recaps and other tasks.
Work in tandem with sales teams to develop B2B marketing campaigns that collect leads and drive revenue
Support the development of marketing budgets, media evaluations, B2B promotions and provide regular financial reporting.
Assist PGA TOUR event and TPC Network staff with the creation of on-site collateral, including signage, course maps, spectator and pairings guides, etc.
Work in partnership with Digital and Communications teams to develop content plans which generate revenue, awareness and exposure for assigned PGA TOUR products.
Seek out new ideas and opportunities for PGA TOUR products to stay top of mind in local markets year-round
Develop and encourage staff to pursue new tasks and challenges related to overall departmental goals and objectives.
Contribute to departmental operations, including staffing, budget management/ cost containment, and internal communication.
