Owner is a remote-first, global company headquartered in San Francisco, with a sales hub in Toronto. For a few of our roles we prioritize in-person collaboration at one of our office locations. 🔍 Why we’re looking for you

As Head of Strategic Operations/Chief of Staff to the President & COO at Owner, you’ll serve as a force multiplier - driving clarity and building momentum across the company as we scale. You’ll be responsible for two main things:


1 -Mastering the company-wide operating rhythms that keep the business on track and aligned. You’ll own the design and execution of how we convert our high-level, long-term strategy into annual, monthly, and weekly operating rhythms and how we communicate progress across each.


2- Personally driving forward the highest-leverage initiatives that are too new or too complicated to have a natural owner in the business today. You’ll spin up and lead strategic projects or functional areas that require urgent attention or longer-term incubation: you’ll go deep where the company needs you most.


This is not a note-taking, calendar-wrangling CoS job. It’s a high-trust operator role with direct visibility into and agency within the core workings of one of the fastest-growing startups in the country.


This role is based in San Francisco at our HQ in the Presidio.


đŸ’„ The impact you will have
  • Architect and run key operating rhythms for the company - building the cadences, tools, and forums that drive clarity, alignment and accountability.
  • Drive prep and facilitation of executive meetings and company-wide forums (MBRs, All-Hands, weekly dashboards), ensuring the right metrics, insights, and decisions rise to the surface.
  • Act as a connective tissue across teams - ensuring information flows effectively, priorities stay synchronized, and key initiatives don’t fall through the cracks.
  • Launch and lead critical, zero-to-one initiatives across the business: standing up pilots, solving cross-functional gaps, or incubating functions that don’t yet exist.
  • Operate as a trusted thought partner to the President & COO on strategy, priorities, and company-wide communications.

  • A seasoned operator (likely 6-10 years of experience) with a track record of driving business-critical programs or launching 0-to-1 initiatives in high-growth environments.
  • Obsessed with operational rigor - you have an opinion on what great operating cadence looks like and have experience designing systems that help companies and teams run.
  • A versatile problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity and excels at structuring problems, distilling complexity, and getting to action.
  • A proactive communicator and stakeholder wrangler - skilled at aligning execs, surfacing risks, and keeping teams rowing in the same direction.
  • Sharp business judgment and strong analytical chops - you can model a new initiative in the morning and lead its rollout by the afternoon.
  • You’re hungry, low-ego, and impact-driven. You’re energized by being in the room where it happens- and making sure the company gets to where it’s going, faster.


🏆 Pay and benefits
  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $200-250K depending on experience, plus a generous pre-IPO equity package
