Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to join its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position is in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
What you will get to do:
As a C&L SE&I IFC Sr. Principal Systems Engineer you will be responsible for supporting C&L systems engineering activities associated with capability buildup for the Integrated Functional Capability Campaign as it relates to CDR. You will support a team of engineers to define, develop, decompose, analyze, verify, and validate architecture and requirements for Command and Launch. In this role, you will be supporting program leadership and the customer to define and maintain the C&L IFC technical baseline. Ultimately, you will support the program through SE artifact maturity and milestones along with product design. Candidates should be highly motivated engineers who can work both independently and in team environments. The selected candidate will get to use MBSE principles to model various processes, tools, and activities that span the Sentinel program.
The successful candidate must be proficient in navigating Cameo and DOORs and have an in-depth understanding of requirement verification and be willing to support less experienced teammates through knowledge sharing and external peer review of work products. This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
