Senior Data Platform Engineer
Skills
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong experience with database design and implementation, especially PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy.
- API development expertise using FastAPI, Django REST framework, or similar.
- Frontend development skills using React and TypeScript.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Metabase, Plotly, and D3.js.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and scientific metadata standards.
- Familiarity with time-series databases and observability tools like Loki and Grafana.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable data platform software for clinical laboratory applications.
- Create database schemas for sample and experiment tracking.
- Develop APIs for data access using frameworks like FastAPI or Django REST.
- Build scientific web dashboards and data visualizations.
- Implement user interfaces to enable data accessibility.
- Contribute to R&D efforts in bioinformatics and high-performance computing.
