About MyOme

MyOme's mission is to provide clinically-actionable genetic information to patients throughout their lives. To achieve this goal, we combine clinical-grade sequencing, advanced methods for genome interpretation, and easy portals for doctors and patients to order tests and access results. We firmly believe that patients own their data, and we empower them to share that data however they choose. We are led by seasoned entrepreneurs and scientists, and backed by an elite group of investors.

Description

MyOme is seeking an experienced, high-performing, and team-oriented Director-level sales leader with a proven track record of success selling molecular diagnostic or genomic testing products within the rare disease landscape located in the Western region of the United States (Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, or Colorado). This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly scaling, well-capitalized, growth-phase company with an exceptional team at an early stage.

The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a supportive team and significant professional growth opportunities. This role requires proactively sourcing new leads and new business opportunities with support from the executive and marketing teams, building strong relationships across all levels of customer accounts, and leading complex sales cycles with healthcare systems, academic medical centers, and key provider stakeholders. The initial focus will be on establishing and growing adoption of MyOme’s Rare Disease offerings through strategic partnerships, enabling long-term clinical integration and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive adoption of MyOme’s Rare Disease product suite by generating new leads, managing the full sales cycle, and closing strategic accounts with healthcare systems, academic medical centers, and other institutions

  • Build and nurture deep relationships with key stakeholders in clinical genetics, neurology, pediatrics, and institutional leadership to understand needs and ensure MyOme’s offerings are positioned effectively

  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and outreach materials tailored to each stakeholder, clearly articulating the value of MyOme’s Rare Disease solutions and differentiators

  • Partner with internal teams—including Customer Success, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Product—to support onboarding, ensure long-term customer success, and continuously refine go-to-market strategies

  • Translate customer insights and market dynamics into actionable feedback to inform product enhancements, roadmap prioritization, and future strategic partnerships

  • Represent MyOme externally at relevant conferences, working groups, and strategic discussions to expand awareness and credibility within the rare disease ecosystem

  • Lead proposal development, pricing strategy, and contract negotiation processes to secure new business and formalize partnerships

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to report on pipeline health, opportunity prioritization, and key performance metrics related to Rare Disease growth initiatives

Ideal Skills and Experience

  • No specific degree prerequisites. If you can do the work exceptionally and approach it with humility, we’d love to connect.

  • 10+ years of experience in biotech or diagnostics sales, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with a proven track record of success in the concierge medicine, executive health, or high-net-worth patient segments

  • Proven track record of launching new products and managing complex sales cycles independently

  • Strong understanding of rare disease testing, including genome and exome analysis, copy number analysis, and clinical diagnostic workflows

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence clinical and executive decision-makers

  • Deep understanding of the rare disease landscape, including institutional adoption pathways, clinical pain points, and reimbursement considerations

  • Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative, and mission-driven environment

  • Must be located in one of the following states - Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, or Colorado
