Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Design production fixtures and mechanisms for assembly-test equipment and material handling.
Design assembly and test equipment using CAD software (PTC Creo / SolidWorks)
Define design requirements and conduct design reviews
Prototype and test designs throughout the development process
Support manufacturing engineers with prototype builds
Partner with outside suppliers to develop production equipment
Support qualification and manufacturing launch activities
Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Must Have: Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 4 years relevant experience design engineering or advanced degree plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in design engineering
Nice to Have:
• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ Years machine design experience
• 5+ Years CAD software experience (PTC Creo / SolidWorks)
• Automation design experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in medical industry
• Product design and development experience
• Validation and process development experience
