Accounts Payable Clerk
Description
The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the company and ensuring all approved vendor bills are processed and paid in a timely manner.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitates payment to vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment and identifies discount opportunities
- Records entry of, verifies documentation for, and distributes received vendor bills.
- Vendor management and follow up on required documentation via email and phone.
- Processing payments via check run, ACH transfers, and credit cards.
- Record keeping, including scanning, filing and record purging.
- Coordinating and reporting of annual 1099's.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Job Requirements
- Must be reliable, detail oriented, and high level of integrity.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
- Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records
- Quick Books, Enterprise experience a plus.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma required. Minimum of 2+ years accounts payable or related experience.
- Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to read and interpret documents and instructions
- Ability to take directions and follow instructions
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Ability to work a variety of assignments on a daily or hourly basis
- Strong ability to be reliable, dependable, and work as a team
Language Ability:
· Ability to communicate effectively in English
