We’re looking for a world-class Strategy & Ops professional who can help us plan, operate, and provide an exceptional experience for our free events and community initiatives. The first experience that the majority of our customers have with Leland is through one of these events, and they are critical to the growth of the company.
You’ll be responsible for helping develop the overall strategy for this motion as well as executing the operations. This includes creating engaging events in line with our go-to-market strategy, working with our coaches to lead these events, and fostering community through experiences. This full-time role will work in person with our team in Lehi, Utah.
What you’ll be doing:
Leland is planning to host over 1000 events over the next year. This role will own:
Planning, setting up, and operating all Leland events and community-building initiatives (both pre-event logistics and execution)
These events are mainly virtual events, and are of all sizes (for example, week-long virtual events with 3,000+ participants, office hours, skill-building workshops, etc.)
Strategizing and putting together year-round event calendar - ensuring representation across categories, timelines, and customer-bases
Optimizing all free events for paid 1:1 coaching, sales call, and intro call conversion metrics
Working with our marketing team on event planning and promotion/marketing
Coordinating with stakeholders involved in each event (e.g., coaches, partners) and make sure they're equipped with the right training and materials to participate
Creating event playbooks, communications, and materials using Canva and other tools; managing all pre and post event-related communications
Designing additional initiatives to deliver an exceptional community experience to our users
Tracking all event data, analyzing, and making decisions based on event performance, conversion, and reviews; owning revenue and engagement goals for event strategy and campus relationships
Your skills & experience:
2-4 years of experience in Event Management, Customer Experience, or Operations
You're highly energetic about event planning and experience design
You’re detail-oriented, an exceptional planner, and thoughtful
You have experience planning and hosting online and in-person events for 200+ individuals
You’re creative and a self-starter (i.e., be scrappy and make small budget go a long way)
You're great with people and building relationships; you have experience leading collaborative teams
You’re talented at making beautiful decks and marketing materials
You are passionate about building communities and coming up with innovative ways to engage with our users
Ability to multi-task and prioritize many different things while working in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to analyze data and grow revenue based on set goals
