As an Information Security Analyst you will be responsible for proactive threat monitoring, investigation, and response. Key duties include managing security Jira tickets, analyzing SIEM/SOAR alerts, conducting incident response, and recommending security improvements including policies and procedures. This role requires strong analytical skills and collaboration to maintain a robust security posture. This role offers a dynamic entry point into cybersecurity, providing a foundation for growth into diverse security career paths. 



What you will be doing:
  • Efficiently manage and prioritize security-related Jira tickets and queues, ensuring timely resolution and accurate tracking of vulnerabilities, incidents, and remediation efforts.
  • Oversee the monitoring of security alerts and events from various security tools and partners (e.g., SIEM/SOAR Tickets)
  • Investigate alerts, triage, deep dive, and come up with proper action items and remediation plans. 
  • Conduct investigation, containment, and other response activities with business stakeholders and groups.
  • Conduct advanced analysis of security events to identify and mitigate potential threats
  • Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions needed for security operations
  • Support security training and awareness programs.
  • Collaborate with other teams to enhance security posture and integrate cybersecurity best practices.


What you will need to know/have:
  • Ability to work effectively on a remote team in a collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A polite, professional demeanor and a commitment to fostering a positive and respectful workplace.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in security operations or related information technology field
  • Experience tracking and managing tickets in a Jira ticketing system or equivalent system 
  • Extensive hands-on experience with security tools and technologies
  • Strong understanding of advanced cybersecurity principles and practices
  • Expertise in using and managing security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, EDR).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in leading and managing security operations teams.

$90,000 - $110,000 a year
This range reflects our target hiring range, with flexibility based on experience, skills, and market factors.
