JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a part-time research intern to support data-focused biology and translational research activities at Iambic Therapeutics. This role emphasizes data processing, analysis, visualization, and quality control for biological and clinical datasets, with minimal hands-on laboratory work. The ideal candidate is an undergraduate student with coursework in life sciences and a keen interest in oncology, translational biology, and data-driven drug development.
This is a 12-month, part-time, paid internship based on-site in our San Diego office, with a commitment of approximately 15 hours per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with entry, formatting, QC, and analysis of biological and clinical datasets
Utilize Excel functions, GraphPad PRISM, and other tools for generating plots and analyzing trends
Curate and annotate experimental data and relevant literature
Support cross-functional teams in tracking translational and biomarker data workflows
Apply tools like ChatGPT to draft summaries, structure datasets, and assist in research organization
Participate in biology team meetings and maintain organized documentation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or related field with coursework completed in general biology, biochemistry, and genetics
Familiarity with cancer biology is strongly preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel or equivalent (e.g., conditional formatting, pivot tables, formulas)
Experience with GraphPad PRISM for data plotting and basic statistical analysis
Comfortable using tools like ChatGPT or equivalent for information gathering and summarization
High attention to detail, well-organized, and clear communicator
