Job Description Summary

The Fraietta Laboratory within the Center for Cellular Immunotherapies (CCI), seeks to hire a Senior Research Investigator (SRI) to oversee the successful translation of cell and gene therapies from research bench to the clinic. This position reports to the PI and is responsible for assisting in the strategic planning and daily management of complex projects conducted with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include laboratory operations such as training and supervision of research specialists, postdoctoral fellows, and student trainees to perform translational research, develop and execute study plans, perform data analysis, and conduct other aspects of quantitative and qualitative research. The Senior Research Investigator will be responsible for reviewing, editing, formatting, and writing manuscripts for publication, grant proposals, as well as compiling data packages and regulatory dossiers in support of Investigation New Applications. The SRI will develop scope of works, create budgets, and execute project proposals while conducting research safety and in accordance with University policies, and be responsible for timely completion of deliverables within established deadlines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities with solid written and verbal communication skills. Finally, the ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of the current state of cell-based immunotherapies, clinical cell manufacturing and testing platforms, and genetic engineering and gene-editing technologies, in order to actively integrate emerging and novel concepts to drive innovation and advance the field.

  • Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Philosophy, and 5 to 7 years of postdoctoral experience is required.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job’s level.
