Business Development Specialist$55,000 - $65,000 plus Bonuses!  

Exciting opportunity to join our established and expanding organization. Accredited by The Joint Commission, Hudson Behavioral Health is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization providing Behavioral Health Treatment in Salisbury, Maryland. Since its inception in 1980, Hudson Behavioral Health has been providing cutting edge treatment for Substance Use and other co-occurring disorders. Our services include Detoxification, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Partial Hospitalization, Treatment, 3.1 Housing and Outpatient Mental Health. 


We are looking for a Business Development Representative who would be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on opportunities that align with the organization’s mission. This role involves staying informed about trends in the global and local mental health sectors, providing strategic program recommendations, and developing new revenue streams while building relationships throughout the community, with healthcare and insurance providers. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

  1. Maintain licensure and credentialing and provide required documentation for various insurance providers and accreditation organizations.
  2. Research and identify grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies. 
  3. Draft and prepare grant proposals and supporting documentation based on organizational funding requirements; submit for CEO approval.
  4. Investigate and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) that align with Hudson’s mission and goals.
  5. Develop competitive proposals in response to open or pending RFPs; submit for CEO approval.
  6. Present innovative project and program proposals to explore new opportunities for Hudson.
  7. Establish and drive capital campaigns and fundraising initiatives, by collaborating with community resources.
  8. Identify and implement ways to enhance service delivery, including expanding telehealth, mobile platforms, and communication services.

PROVIDER GROWTH & CONTINUITY

  1. Identify and initiate new insurance provider contracts, including Medicaid providers.
  2. Maintain and manage contracts and credentialing with existing insurance providers.
  3. Negotiate annual managed care rate increases.

COMMUNITY RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT

  1. Identify and cultivate community resources and partnerships for mutually beneficial projects and programs.
  2. Engage with and visit referral sources to establish and confirm available resources and secure signed Business Agreements.
  3. Participate in community meetings, teams, local forums, and other relevant events to stay informed about changes in the mental health and addictions community
  4. Build and strengthen relationships with local health departments, hospitals, clinics, and other recovery and mental health resources.

Requirements

Must Have… 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Experience in Sales or Marketing
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport.
  • Good time management and planning skills.
  • have knowledge of HIPAA and other confidentiality requirements as well as COMAR and all other regulations, policies, and procedures governing HBH.


Preferred…

  • Master’s degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CRM Software
  • Experience in the field of addiction is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with addicted individuals with co-occurring mental health is preferred.
