Recruiter

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Recruiter to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day operations of U.S.-based clients in the cannabis industry and take increasing ownership of recruitment and onboarding activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to deepen their HR and talent operations experience within a collaborative and mission-driven startup environment.

As a key team member, you’ll manage routine client deliverables independently and demonstrate growing credibility and ownership. You’ll apply best practices while suggesting small process optimizations. You’ll actively contribute to team initiatives, provide informal support to peers, and consistently demonstrate proficiency in your role-specific responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate interviews and conduct initial screenings
  • Post job ads and manage candidate communication
  • Improve and streamline hiring and onboarding workflows
  • Track progress and ensure consistent documentation
  • Support hiring across teams and build candidate pipelines
  • Promote a consistent, positive candidate experience
  • Work with HR, IT, and team leads on onboarding
  • Share updates in team syncs and support junior colleagues
  • Manage access requests and onboarding docs
  • Oversee background checks and ensure system accuracy
  • Maintain and update ATS, HRIS, and employee files

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in recruitment coordination, HR support, or similar roles
  • Experience working with U.S.-based hiring practices is a strong plus

Tools

  • Proficient in:
    • Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
    • Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
    • HRIS platforms
  • Nice to have:
    • Advanced Excel (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups)
    • Data analytics/reporting tools

Skills

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to take ownership of assigned processes
  • C1-C2 level English language skills
