The Role
Customer Care & Aftersales (CCA) Marketing is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Website Manager to support the development and implementation of digital strategies across service and parts content, shopping tools, and marketing campaigns. This role aims to ensure a seamless online research and shopping experience and closely collaborates with creative teams, marketing, UX, data, and analytics teams to optimize the customer journey from discovery to conversion/purchase. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, an understanding of website strategy, digital marketing, and the digital creative process, as well as a passion for enhancing website performance and user experience. Additional expertise in user testing, search engine optimization (SEO), and experience with parts and service research and dealer tools in the automotive industry are essential for this role. CCA’s Digital Operations team supports all the CCA brands. This includes 9+ websites, various applications, leads, and shopping tools as well as working with data that feeds those websites and applications.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Drive the digital customer experience strategy across key digital channels, including the Parts and Service websites.
Define the features and functionality necessary to effectively communicate the Parts and Service product and brand story.
Manage day-to-day processes and timelines, coordinating with production and creative agencies to ensure timely launches.
Lead several external agency teams responsible for executing the digital strategy, ensuring alignment with divisions and CCA brand goals.
Collaborate closely with marketing colleagues (eg. ACdelco, GMGenuine Parts, Certified Service, Technician Recruitment) and internal business partners to continually improve the website and drive key performance indicators (KPIs).
Collaborate with GMIT, Brand Leads, GM research, and other internal stakeholders and agencies to uphold best practice standards while implementing projects that include shopping tools, websites, and other applications
Advocate for the user by implementing industry best practices, usability research, and customer insights throughout the design and development process.
Manage and collaborate with multiple cross-functional partners within the organization to ensure cohesive project execution.
Regularly review analytics reporting and provide actionable insights for ongoing digital optimization, including A/B testing and Test/Target initiatives.
Conduct usability studies, competitive reviews/audits, and benchmarking studies to drive website improvements.
Oversee content strategy and management and asset creation for the development of key site pages and shopping tools.
Content research, development, and optimization for the website(s) and related digital platforms.
Responsible for developing purchase orders and collaborating with the finance team to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
5+ years of digital marketing or product management experience working on high-traffic consumer-facing websites.
Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Deep understanding of user experience (UX) design and digital marketing best practices.
Familiarity with automotive scheduling tools and content management systems.
Background in search engine optimization (SEO) and experience with online shopping tools and content management systems.
Technical aptitude to grasp complex issues and communicate effectively with technology teams and designers.
Experience with usability testing, A/B testing, and translating user insights into actionable site improvements.
Strong analytical skills, capable of digesting site metrics and recommending enhancements.
Experience with CGI asset creation to support digital content needs.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams in a large organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
