ROLE PURPOSE
As the Visual Merchandising / Marketing Production Manager, you will support the development and execution of all visual assets related to Aesop’s Marketing objectives. This role directly effects how our clients interact with the brand in North America. The key objective is to execute creative marketing briefs. You will be responsible for the execution of brand creative across all retail and brand touchpoints that serve to increase awareness and brand awareness. This role requires a critical thinker with high technical knowledge of production as well as creative execution.
The ideal candidate possesses an understanding of luxury brand creative execution, a keen eye for aesthetics, and a proven track record of successfully managing creative assets. Additionally, this individual should be accustomed to working in a fast paced and flexible environment. A strong outside the box thought process is key to success to ensure that Aesop retains its distinct brand identity across all client touchpoints in the North American market.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Campaigns
Produce/source all campaign collateral for 7 Campaigns per year
Review campaign plans for each store in market and facilitate the delivery and installation of all collateral
Set up pre campaign mock ups to ensure proper execution, including VM Validation and VM Pre Floor Set
Produce detailed directives for stores / VM’s on how to install the campaign including directives
Ensure Production materials are delivered in a timely manner to locations
Ensure that there is an afterlife for props and that all props are disposed of in the most sustainable
Floor Set

Merchandising Props
Produce, source VM props when needed
Assist with store openings as needed
Ensure that there is an afterlife for props and that all props are disposed of in the most sustainable manner
PR and Events
Produce and source all PR events in conjunction with PR team
Assist with installation of PR and VM events when necessary
Ensure that there is an afterlife for props and that all props are disposed of in the most sustainable manner
Communication and Planning
Working in partnership with the Senior Manager of VM, and in conjunction with Head of Marketing. Manager directly the Finish Artist on all items related to production of assets including light boxes / instore collateral / price lists / messaging/ hoarding.
Manage VM Coordinator to assist with logistics and planning
Maintain open and collaborative dialogue Manager and Marketing leaders
Manage VM / Marketing and PR budgets pertaining to production
Follow a VM calendar, aligned with the marketing calendar
Cascade production information to necessary parties and follow up
Disseminate all communication regarding production and logistics
Plan production schedule to meet the needs of the business
Communicate and support directives from Global Head Office
Maintain effective, regular communication with colleagues
Ensure that anything produced is in keeping with L’Oréal policies and procedures
KEY REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 + years of experience in Visual Merchandising or Design/Creative related position
Large scale, multi-location, project management experience
Professional training, college, or trade experience in design related to the visual arts and production
A strong three-dimensional understanding and vocabulary
Extensive interest in the arts and design
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (PPT and Excel)
Experience in managing a fast paced and dynamic workplace
The ability to work with flexibility and agility with multiple stake holders, objectives
A meticulous level of attention to detail, in all endeavors
Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills
An appreciation for Aesop’s unique culture
Manage and negotiate with a stable of production houses
